Delving into our design process

At KAGU Interiors, we understand that talking to an interior designer can seem daunting, but we try to make it as easy as we can for you. We encourage you to get in touch with us via phone, email, or by visiting our shop/studio for an informal chat. We can then outline the services we offer, such as interior and architecture design, project management, technical drawings and specifications, bespoke furniture and lighting design, sourcing antiques and artwork, procurement and installation, and home styling. Following initial contact with KAGU Interiors, we can arrange a convenient date to visit you on-site for a relaxed, informal chat about your upcoming project. This free consultation allows you to ask us questions in more detail about how we work as a business, but also, we are happy to give you free advice and guidance.

Then after our initial consultation, we will consider the scope of your project and determine the necessary level of management and time commitment from KAGU Interiors. We will then promptly present to you our fees and a strategy for how to proceed with working together.

We are passionate about projects of all sizes. Whether it’s a small or large project, we are excited to help bring your ideas to life, but having said this, more & more of our clients come to us not only for design assistance but for project management as well. We can manage the entire project from concept to completion, again small or large projects, liaising with architects, suppliers, contractors, and other professionals, as well as providing regular costings and progress reports.

We always provide detailed spreadsheets for clients that can be created to help you to track and monitor the costs associated with designing and decorating the interior of your space. These spreadsheets can include costs such as furniture, flooring, paint, lighting and other items needed to complete the project. They can also include labour costs, such as those associated with hiring contractors and any additional fees associated with the project. With these spreadsheets, you will be able to easily see what the total cost of the project will be, as well as where you may need to make adjustments in order to stay within budget. Delving into our design process at KAGU Interiors, we strive to make the process of creating your dream home as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
