From the development stages of a new business to approaching our two year anniversary of opening our shop we have kept ethics, sustainability and eco conscious awareness are at the very heart of Kagu.
From our own handcrafted beginnings of creating bespoke items and working with skilled craftspeople, we realised just how much work and dedication goes into each product, whether it be from the raw origins or adding small details to a finished product.
This became a marker for sourcing our stock and what suppliers we would feel comfortable working with. So we are very fortunate to have some fabulous artisan makers, hand crafters and ethical businesses working with us to provide 'purchases with a conscience' using sustainable materials that embrace traditional skills, so you won't find mass-produced items in our collections.
As our online sales increase, we are also constantly looking at ways we can reduce, reuse and recycle. We have minimal waste here at Kagu as we reuse all our packaging, we aim for natural wrapping where possible and our delivery couriers are DPD who are committed to reducing their impact on climate change by making all their deliveries carbon neutral.
